Thomas R. Muise

Tom is survived by his loving wife Marianne (Laino) of 37 years, devoted sons Thomas (TJ) of Campbell Hall and Michael at home, his sister Joanne of Elizabethtown KY, and several loving aunts, sisters and brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Pauline, his mother and father-in-law Nick and Fran Laino, his uncle Joe and several other aunts and uncles. Tom was a very special father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Tom loved being an at-home dad raising his two sons. He volunteered for every school event and every school trip. He was a coach for the Washingtonville Soccer Club and team manager for the Washingtonville Youth Football and Cheerleading League. Tom was always there to help friends with building projects, cutting down trees or whatever else they needed him for. He was a state champion softball player, enjoyed watching football, hockey and baseball with his sons and friends every chance he had.

A special thank you to his caregivers Melody, Cheryl and Beverly for their care, compassion and friendship and to the ALS Association of NY and his many doctors and their staff for their care and support over these past few years.

Visitation will be on Wednesday May 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street Washingtonville, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday May 24, 2018 at 11 am. A memorial service will be scheduled in Elizabethtown KY in the near future. The family has requested donations to the ALS Association Greater NY Chapter, 42 Broadway, Suite 1724, New York, NY 10004 in lieu of flowers.
