---------- VERONICA GOOD ZILLIG MAY 11, 1926 - APRIL 11, 2021 MONROE, NY

Veronica Zillig, 94, passed peacefully on April 11, 2021 at Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation, Haskell, NJ.

The daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Tompkins) Good, she was born on May 11, 1926, in the Bronx, NY. Veronica was a graduate of Jane Adams High School for Academic Careers in Bronx, NY. She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of NYC, cafeteria for Washingtonville School District, RSB Tile, Monroe, NY, and was a parishioner of St Mary Church, Washingtonville, NY.

She eagerly looked forward to her weekly Senior exercise classes with her "gal pals". After class it was always coffee, BS, and a doughnut with them.

She married the love of her life, Oscar Zillig, at St Anselm's Church, Bronx, NY, on June 19, 1949.

She is survived by her cherished children Barbara (Zillig) Bequette of Cornwall, NY; Patricia Zillig of Maybrook, NY; Richard Zillig of Newburgh, NY; and her sisters Marion Egan and Elizabeth Browne.

Loving grandmother to Melissa Verlin, Ryan Bequette, Tracy Barry, Brett Gonzalez, Richard Zillig, Jr., and Christopher Zillig.

Great-Grandmother to Nicholas and Blake Bequette; Jacob and Avery Barry; Reese and Riley Verlin; and Richard Zillig III.

Veronica was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Oscar Zillig (2018); her son John Zillig (2019); and her sister Dorothy Good.

Mom, we miss you dearly. We miss your great advice and wicked criticism. For now, till we meet again.....we will always remember "you loved us first".

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April, 15, 2021 at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY. Arrangements under the care of David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY.
