Alice May Mendes

In 1968 Alice married Paul Mendes; together they had three sons. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. Alice enjoyed spending time with her husband and sons, to them she was everything. Alice was a devote Catholic, and was a communicant of Corpus Christi Parish, Notre Dame Church. She loved taking trips, long talks with her husband Paul, playing with her children, playing frisby, cards, bowling, fishing, and going on picnics with her family. Alice was a very friendly and outgoing woman and will be sadly missed.

Alice is survived by her loving husband Paul Mendes, sons; Joseph, Michael and Nicholas Mendes, a granddaughter Bria Ponsant, three sisters; Erma Blakney, Anna Watson, Phyllis Dumais, four brothers; Lenny, Fred, Leo and Melford Duprey, as well as many in-laws and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alice was predeceased by her parents, and two brothers; Reggie and Gary Duprey.

Visitation will be held at Veilleux Funeral Home on Friday, January 27, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28, at Notre Dame Catholic Church at 11 am. Committal will be at a later date in the spring at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
