Charlotte was born on April 28, 1935 in St. Benjamin, Quebec, Canada the eldest child of Gerard and Cecile (Lessard) Boulet. She lived in St. Benjamin until the age of fourteen when her family relocated to Waterville. Always with an outgoing personality, Charlotte quickly adjusted to life in Waterville while attending school at Notre Dame, making many new friends and learning the language, but never losing touch with her hometown. She always joked that at the age of fourteen she had to join the first graders to relearn her alphabet and grammar, but progressed quickly.
Charlotte joined the many other French women of her time and worked at the C.F. Hathaway and went on to own and operate Boulet’s Market on Water Street for many years. She was a gifted seamstress and later in life owned the Princess Sewing Shop in her home.
In 1958 Charlotte married Clarence Dubois and proceeded to raise a family of three sons and a daughter. She took her position as the head of the family when she was widowed at an early age and saw to it that her family always came first.
In 1977 Charlotte married Leon J. Bourque of Winslow and they spent many happy years together, especially traveling in their motor home until Leon’s passing in 1990.
In 1998 Charlotte married Raymond F. Vigue and they spent many happy years as “snowbirds” between their homes in Waterville and Fruitland Park, Florida. While in Florida, they were active members of their Park’s clubhouse activities and Charlotte was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Charlotte was an active member of the Corpus Christi Notre Dame Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister and held several officer positions in the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne.
Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, her husbands’ Clarence Dubois and Leon Bourque, her daughter Ann Amboy, and her brother Jean-Louis Boulet.
She is survived by her husband Raymond F. Vigue; her children: Camille and wife Anna of Scarborough, Danny and wife Anita of Oakland, and Gerard and wife Julie of Waterville; and her grandchildren: Eric (Kym), Jamie (C.J.), Tazz (Kevin), Heather, Jacqueline, and Katherine. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Jimmy, Allyson, Dillon, Brayden, and Abigail. Charlotte is also survived by her brothers Norman Boulet and wife Lucille of Winslow and Brother Daniel Caron of Alfred; special sisters-in-law Jacqueline and Louise Boulet, Juanita Bragdon and Diane Tinkham; stepson Raymond Veilleux, and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte leaves behind a very special cousin, Ruth Fredette and several very close and special friends.
