

BENTON - Deborah J Martin, 62 of Benton, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother departed this world for Heaven on September 27 at home surrounded by her loving family. Deborah was born December 16, 1952, the daughter of the late Philemon Michaud and Anne Marie Michaud. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1971. In 1967, Deborah met the love of her life, Erwin Martin and was married for 42 years. She is also survived by their three children Jessica Bryand and significant other Todd Gagne of Benton, Crystal Bailey and husband Brett of Fairfield, and Kevin Martin and significant other Ambrosia Quirion of Benton. The greatest treasures in Deborah's life were her grandchildren Britney Bryand, Nicholas Bryand, Parker Bailey, Gaige Martin, and Mykenna Martin. Brianna Quirion, Alexander Owens, and Layla Owens were also very dear to her heart and part of her family. Deborah is also survived by her sister Judy Mitchell and husband Robert Mitchell of Waterville and her brother John Michaud and wife Judy Michaud of Winslow. Deborah worked at The Hathaway Shirt Factory for 18 years which she managed most of her time there. She later on in life went back to school at Kennebec Valley Technical College and received her degree in Medical Secretary. She was employed at Maine General and worked in Endoscopy. In Deborah's earlier years she was part of the VFW Woman's Auxillary which she enjoyed working close to her father, Philemon on Bingo nights. Many memories are cherished from the annual pig roasts the family held for many years spending time with family and singing karaoke. Her favorite getaway was the camp in Burnham where the family spent many years. She enjoyed hunting, reading by the fire, and the tranquility of being in nature.
For entertainment, she deeply enjoyed going to Hollywood Slots where she made many friends and memories. Watching her grandchildren play sports was one of her most passionate times on this earth as she was a very dedicated fan.
