Elena Marie Giroux

Elena was born in Waterville, Maine January 28, 1942, the daughter of Adelard and Marie (Hebert) Pelotte. She was educated in local schools graduating from Winslow High School.

On April 15, 1961 she married the live of her life, Gerald J. Giroux and together they raised three daughters, Shelley Coro and her husband Craig of Winslow; Kathy Violette of Winslow; and Deborah Dickey and her significant other of Skowhegan. She lived in Clinton, Winslow and retired in Vassalboro. Elena worked as a secretary for 25 plus year at Maine Biological Labs as well as Northeast Laboratories in Winslow. She was also employed by Tilcon Construction. She enjoyed secretarial work and was very organize.

Elena enjoyed following Nascar with her favorite driver being Jamie McMurray. She enjoyed camping and backyard fires. She loved animals, especially her cat "Peanut".

Elena is survived by her mother, Marie Pelotte, of Winslow; her three daughters as named earlier. She also leaved behind three grandchildren; Elizabeth Violette of Winslow; Nicholas Dickey of Waterville and Eric Chamberlain of Waterville and a bother Tom Pelotte.

Elena was predeceased by her husband Gerald, her father Adelard Pelotte and her middle grandson, Joseph W. Violette II.

Visitation for Elena will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4-6 at Veilleux Funeral Home in Waterville. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday May 6, 2015 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Waterville at 11 am with graveside service at St. Francis Cemetery.
