Eva B Poirier

On May 3, 1952 she married Joseph F. Poirier and together they built a loving home and family with 4 children. Eva was a loving wife for 50 years and cared for her husband through his stroke until his death in 2001.

Eva took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There were many occasions with food, laughter and love in her house. Many holidays and get-togethers were held at her house filled with family and friends. She took great care and pride in the upkeep of her house and yard. She spent lots of time outside working with her flowers. Eva would spend some of her evenings playing beano or visiting and playing cards with her special friends, the Carey family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her parents and sister Jeanette.

Survivors include her children, Sheila of Sidney, Pamela and fiancé Bob of Waterville, Norman and wife Linette of Winterport and Julie and husband Jack of Bethesda, MD. Eva is also survived by her sisters, Marie Pelotte of Waterville, Lucile Bates of Wilton Manor, FL.and Mary Jane Poulin of Waterville, and her brothers Robert Hebert of Los Angeles, CA. Albert Hebert of Athol, MA. and Philippe Hebert of Winter Haven, FL.

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Adam Beeh of Cambridge, MA.,Katie Hitchings and husband Chris of Skowhegan, Christopher Hamel of Waterville, Logan Poirier of Winterport, Meghan & Courtney McDonald of Bethesda, MD., and great grandchildren, Joshua and Lucy Hitchings. Many nieces, nephews and special friends of the family, Jean Frechette, Joe, Matt, Dani & Gorman, and her godchildren Eva Carey and Richard Mathieu.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 21st from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 22nd at 11:00 A.M. at Notre Dame Church in Waterville. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery immediately following the mass.

Donations may be made in Eva's memory to the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament, on 101 Silver Street in Waterville.
