

Arthur attended local school through the 8th grade before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1945 where he served his country for 2 years. After serving his country he returned to North Vassalboro where he and his wife began their family together.
Arthur worked as the head mechanic for the Colby College Maintenance Department for more than 25 years and was a proud member of the North Vassalboro Fire Department for 52 years. He was also a member of St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in North Vassalboro, Winslow VFW and the Winslow American Legion.
Arthur enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and taking walks down to his brook and simply enjoying nature. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed socializing at Bridget’s Restaurant in North Vassalboro while having breakfast with friends. He also made a daily trip to Ferris’ Market.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife Bernadine, 3 daughters; Mary Sadulsky and husband Patrick of Clinton, Angela Burns and husband Allen of China, and Yvonne Dutil of Waterville, son; Anthony Dutil and wife Kelly of North Vassalboro, 8 grandchildren who were all loved by their Pepere; Michael Robinson (Megan Sinacore) of Benton, Bernard Robinson (Heather Owen) of Waterville, Jennifer Gorman and husband Mike of Winslow, Arlita Hallee of Portland, Nichole and Tasha Dutil of North Vassalboro, Keith Burns (Liz Michaud) of Skowhegan and Kris Gotsmanov and husband Sasha of Minnesota.
Arthur also leaves 7 great grandchildren; Madison Brow, Vincent and Trevor Robinson, Jacob Owen, Evan Simon, Mycah Gorman and Alexis Burns, 2 brothers; Norman Dutil and wife Theresa of Oakland and Marlin Dutil and wife Patricia of Seattle, Washington, sister Dorothy Romano of Florida, sister-in-laws Rosalie Palow of Winslow and Vondell Mairs of Farmingdale, brother-in-laws Bernard Poulin of Waterville, and Michael Romano of Florida, many nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
Arthur was pre-deceased by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville, Wednesday, March 6, 2011, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Thursday, March 7th, from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 9 AM, Friday, March 8th, at St. Bridget’s Church in North Vassalboro.
