Linda Jean Cookson

Waterville- Linda Jean Cookson, 51, of Fairfield passed away suddenly on July 15, 2013 at MGMC Thayer Unit. She was born in Seattle, WA on May 2, 1962; a daughter of Leonard Sr. and Jean (Sullivan) Morrison. Linda graduated from college with a degree in Nursing; she went on to work as a Registered Nurse for many years. Linda adored her family; she was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She greatly enjoyed her time spent with her grandson. Linda loved music, reading and television crime shows. She fostered and cared for many rescued cats.

Linda was predeceased by her mother Jean Morrison and by her aunt Kathleen Sullivan.

She is survived by her two loving sons: Lloyd Cookson, III and his girlfriend Alison Small, Matthew Cookson and wife Faye; a step daughter Jamie Hammond; a sister Laura Morrison and a brother Leonard Morrison Jr.; a grandson Connor Cookson; four step grandchildren: Maxine, Raven, Caleb and Zeke as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

At her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations, to help defray funeral costs, be sent to Lloyd Cookson, III, 95 Celtics Drive, Waterville, ME 04901.
