Lorraine M. Bolduc, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 22, 2011 at Mount St. Joseph in Waterville surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was born in Waterville on March 8, 1950, daughter of Joseph A. and Cora M. (Lizotte) Bolduc. She was educated in Winslow schools and graduated from Winslow High School in 1969.
Lorraine was employed by the Physical Plant Department of Colby College in the Miller Library until ill health forced her to retire in 1997. Lorraine was a gentle, jovial woman who put a smile on the face of everyone around her. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Miami Dolphins. Part of her Sunday fun was rooting for anyone who was playing against the Patriots just to annoy her sister. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially Sandra Wadleigh and Sharon Bouchard of Winslow and Sandra Chipman of Massachusetts. She loved to play cards, especially “63”, even though she got stuck with her niece as a partner who never really learned how to play. She loved the coast and eating lobster. She never missed a sports event for her 2 nieces and her great-nephew Joe.
She was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her sister Linda Lizotte of Winslow, her niece Michelle Lizotte of Winterport and niece Renee and her husband Jay Pfingst. She is also survived by the love of her life, special great-nephew Joe Pfingst of Winslow. She is also survived by 2 aunts, Albertine Violette of Oakland and Marie Morgan of Winslow and many special and loving cousins.
Her family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Elmwood Primary Care, the staff of Winslow Community Credit Union, the staff of Healthreach Hospice and to everyone at Mount St. Joseph for their love, compassion and excellent care in Lorraine’s final days.
There will be no visiting hours. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 9am at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St. Winslow. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Mount St. Joseph Capital Fund, 7 Highwood Street, Waterville, ME 04901.
As Joe would say, “later Tante Raine, love ya.”
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville.
