

She was born in St. Agatha, ME on May 12, 1919; a daughter of Albanie and Annie (Michaud) Ouellette. She was the oldest of 17 children. Lucille was educated in Caribou schools. She worked for Keyes Fiber, Scott Paper Co., Butlers and Sterns Department Stores, and later in her 80’s retired from the Waterville Public School System. Lucille was a devote Catholic and communicant of Corpus Christi Parish. Lucille cherished the time spent with her family, especially the family events held at her home. She loved spending time with her children, in younger years taking them to various parks and trips to the ocean. Lucille enjoyed knitting, word search puzzles, bowling and playing cards with the people from Caribou. Lucille was a hard worker, a loving and devoted wife, mother, Memere, sister and friend to many.
Lucille leaves behind her son Richard “Dickie” Carrier and wife Yvonne, her daughter Jean Berard and husband Fred “Butch”, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, her grandchildren; Kathy Robertson and husband David, Janet and Laurie Carrier, Lisa Loisel and husband Patrick, Scott Bolduc and wife Lisa, Derek Bolduc and wife Michelle, Tammy Pinnette and husband Scott, Laurie Landry and husband Tim, Kristen Finley and husband Scott, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband O’Neil J. Carrier in 1987, beloved daughter Jackie Carrier and 12 siblings.
Lucille’s family wishes to extend their great appreciation and thanks to the staff at Oak Grove Nursing Home for the exceptional care that they provided and for being Lucille’s second family, as well as Dr. Clifton Smith for his excellent care that he provided her over the years. They also wish to thank the hospice staff for their superb care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Veilleux Funeral Home on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 9 am, committal to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Lucille’s memory may be made to The Waterville Area Humane Society 100 Webb Rd.
