I will miss you Rodney...you brought a smile to my face and you warmed my soul... I was so glad to have had the chance to know you...you will forever be in my heart

 We always looked forward to seeing Rodney. He was a quiet nice man. We will miss him greatly. Please know that Rodney and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

My co-worker and friend for 30 plus years.  You sat with me early mornings and late nights watching my son in youth hockey then high school hockey.  You sharpened his skates like no one else. You reportedly made the very best ice in the State of Maine and legions of young hockey players loved to see you on the Zamboni.  You were not only Colby's ice guy, but also equally important to youth hockey and Waterville High School teams. For a guy with no children of his own, you were so instrumental in raising many Colby and local players.  You were loved by so many.

You became a part of our family and the Colby family over the years.  You loved root beer and when you came to my house, I went and bought you root beer.  I will miss you riding the big mower on campus and your sticking your tongue out at me as you rode by. We shared a love on animals and I'm so pleased you had your dog with you until the end.

The absolute best part of our friendship has developed over the last few months, as you battled your illness, yet still continued to find time to hang out and have fun with your Colby friends.  I will miss those dinners...you eating...me drinking wine.and who will ever forget my dumping your seafood chowder on that poor man across the table from us?...thanks for running away and laughing at me.

I will miss you my friend Rodney....you were one of my all time favorite people...love and miss you always!

Rodney will always hold a special place in my heart.  His smile and fun loving attitude always brought sunshine to my day.  My Colby experience would not have been the same without him.  His jokes were like hugs and I will cherish those memories.  Rest well my friend.

So Sorry he was too young even though I don't think I meet him or don't remember my heart still goes out to you all

My sincerest condolences to Rodney's family and many friends. I'd known Rodney since our days at Carl B. Lord School and you couldn't find a kinder or nicer person. He loved his town and it's people and his Colby family very much.  They were his world.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. It was a pleasure knowing you , Rodney.

To the Ferland Family. Sorry for your lose. Rodney was a great guy.

My condolences to Rodney's family and friends.  Growing up & playing hockey in Waterville, Rodney was Alfond Arena's best Zamboni driver!  So much so that while in high school, we used to request Rodney because he made the best ice and he was our good luck charm! Rodney was one of the nicest guys I've ever met.  Thank you for all those years of making the best ice!!RIP Hot Rod

Rodney was a special person who befriended every person he met. Truly a gentle man was well as a gentleman.  My thoughts are with his faminly and friends at this time.
