Stella Giguere

Waterville - Stella Giguere, 92, of Waterville passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. Stefanella Gianetti was born in Newton MA, March 8, 1920, the oldest daughter of six children of the late Anna and Michael Gianetti. Stella was devoted to her husband, the late Raoul Giguere, who passed away on May 6, 2012. They were married on October 6, 1957, and together they enjoyed 54 wonderful years. Prior to her marriage, Stella worked for several years at Raytheon, a defense contracting company, taking confidential notes for research in the defense industry following World War II.

Stella is survived by her two sons; Stephen and wife Christiane Hesse of Darmstadt, Germany and Paul and his wife Susana Lorenzo of Washington DC; and her sister Genevieve "Jenny" Cellucci of Milford, MA. She also leaves five grandchildren, Emily and Helen of Germany and Isabella, Marco, and Matteo of Washington; a niece, Elaine Salvucci and husband Michael of Belmont, MA; a nephew, Paul Cellucci and wife Diane, of Milford, MA and great nieces and nephews, Michael, Lauren, and Alissa.

Visitation will be held at Veilleux Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, from 9:00 to 10:45 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Waterville.
