Gino P. Scuteri

Gino P. Scuteri, age 77, of Watkins Glen, NY passed away at home on Friday, April 22nd, 2016. Gino was born in Bronx, NY on December 3rd, 1938, the son of the late, Frank and Anita ((Russo) Scuteri. Gino had worked at Banker’s Federal Bank, where he had chased and caught a bank robber. He also was the manager and pizza maker for many years at Scuteri’s Pizzeria in Watkins Glen, NY. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and play pranks. Gino was an avid reader and especially loved to watch the news. He was a very faithful communicant at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen. Gino was a very thoughtful person, who was always looking to help others. Gino is survived by his special best friend, Robert Mahoney; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Betty Scuteri; as well as, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and several cousins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by several of his cousins. A memorial Mass will be held privately at the convenience of his family at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church. Memorials may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Schuyler County PO Box 427 Montour Falls, New York 14865.

Saddened by this news. Gino was a cool guy and taught me back in the day when I was a teenager how to cook and sling pizza stuff. I sucked at it but I could cook them fine. Never forget the time I dropped a pizza on the floor and Gino said pick it up quick throw it away I'll create another. Don't let Richie know. LOL. Richie never knew unless he reads this.
