Hazel L. Robinson

February 21, 1923August 22, 2018

Robinson, Hazel Age 95, of Elmira, NY passed away on August 22, 2018. Born in Newark, NJ in 1923, Hazel was the daughter of Charles and Hazel Lerf. She was predeceased by Joel, her husband of 72 years and her daughter Lynn Marshall. She is survived by children Jean Andrews (Robert) of Severna Park, MD; Wendy Carroll (Duke) of Elmira, NY; Joel Robinson Jr. (Linda) of Elmira, NY. Also surviving Hazel are 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Hazel worked for the FBI in their New York City office where she met Joel. She was active in many community organizations including as President of the Elmira Junior League, President of the Arnot Ogden Hospital Auxiliary as well as being elected as the first woman to serve as a Town of Elmira councilperson. Hazel was an avid golfer, bridge player and reader. No one enjoyed a party more than Hazel where she could gather with family and friends. Per Hazel’s request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church, 1054 W. Clinton St, Elmira, NY 14905 .
