

Mary E Kelly, 57, of Burdett, NY passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family Tuesday December 4th, 2012. Mary was born in Montour Falls, NY on December 3, 1955, the daughter of Vera and the late Joseph Franzese. She was a graduate of Watkins Glen High School. Mary worked for Williams Electric and retired from Schuyler County Public Health. Mary and her husband Gary owned and operated Kelly's Kitchen for 15 years. Mary was a member and past President of the United Way. She was also a member of the Squires where she played the clarinet. Mary is survived by her mother Vera Franzese, her loving husband of 23 years Gary E Kelly, children Ken(Amanda) Field, Kelly Field, Kristin Field, Craig(Cindy) Kelly, Randy(Amy) Kelly, Kim(Tim) Lock, Corie(Andy) Stansfield, Gary Kelly. Grandchildren Mya, Landon, Andrew(Melinda), Josh, Kari-Ann, Jacob, Alycia(Craig), Samantha, Brittany, Taylor, Braeden, Joe(Court), Jessica, and Zachary. Great Grandchildren Jasmine, Aden, and Tighan. Siblings Chuck(Roe) Franzese, Diana Franzese, Virginia Franzese, John(Doreen) Franzese, Joseph(Nelly) Franzese, Angela(Neal) Seamon, Bob Franzese. Brother-in-laws David Kelly, , Kevin(Terry) Kelly, Jason(Pam) Kelly. Sister-in laws Patricia(Terry) Dense, Sharon Kelly and Susan Kelly. Several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her father Joseph Franzese, her sister Nancy Franzese, her brother Michael Franzese, and brother-in-laws Phil Kelly, Neal Kelly. Throughout Mary's battle she was cared for daily by her loving and devoted daughter Kristin and her husband Gary. Her special friend, Phyllis Creighton was always there to help in any way she could along with the helping hands of Gretchen Folts and Sherri Kelly. Mary had many friends and was loved by all who knew her. A special thank you to all the people, family and friends, that always kept Mary in their thoughts. The family would like to thank Mary Kellogg and the HospiceCareFirst care givers. Mary is now at peace as she is the guardian angel of her unborn grandson Landon Field that will be gracing us with his presence in January.
Friends and family may call from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, December 10th at the Haughey-Wood Funeral Home, 119 Fifth St., Watkins Glen, NY. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 10am on Tuesday, December 11th at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, 905 Decatur St., Watkins Glen with celebrant Father Paul Bonacci.
