Annie was strong-willed, resourceful, and always ready to help anyone in need. She was a woman of deep faith who dedicated her life to serving the Lord. As a member of the Mother’s Board at Burning Bush International Ministries, she found joy and strength in worship and fellowship. Her unwavering love for the church was evident in the way she lived her life.
Annie was also an excellent cook. This was proven by her soul food dishes, cakes, pies and cobbler! On top of that, she had a passion for gardening and took pride in nurturing both her plants and her family. As matriarch, she poured love into every meal and every moment she spent with those she cherished most.
To carry on her memory, Annie leaves behind her children: Elvis (Ree Ann Robinson) Martin, Linda (Shahram) Farahani, and Green (Chaunta) Horton Jr., her siblings Rodester (George) Wyche, Aymond (Helen) Booker, and John (Claire) Booker; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Now, she is reunited with her beloved husband, Green Horton Sr., her children, Louester Booker, Otis Martin, Alvin (Elise) Martin, and Sharon Martin; and her siblings Marshall Booker, Webster Booker, Billy Booker, and Mae Rose Booker.
Annie will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and a devoted servant of God whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
