Chris died of natural causes, following admittance to the hospital for pneumonia.
Chris was born on August 29, 1970 in Westland, MI and graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1989. Chris lived the majority of his life in Wayne, MI.
Chris worked for 23 years at Ford Motor Company, as an assembly worker, mostly at the Sheldon Road plant. He recently retired from Ford Motor Company and took up gardening on his apartment balcony. Chris was a lifelong Democrat and enjoyed political satire. His greatest fear was Donald Trump becoming president.
Chris volunteered regularly at Gleaners Food Bank and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. He was heartbroken when he saw the children at the soup kitchens on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Chris loved Star Wars, especially episodes IV, V, and VI. He remembered when his dad took him out of school on opening day, to see the very first Star Wars movie, A New Hope. His favorite character was Boba Fett and he explored his "Dark Side" as a villan for Halloween, whether Darth Vader, Darth Maul or Darth Sideous. He was disappointed in the prequels Episodes I, II, and III, but held out hope that Episode VII:The Force Awakens, would redeem George Lucas. Chris purchased tickets to opening night a few months in advance, and spent it with his son, Christopher, godson, Evan and friend, Russ. He was excited about the new franchise and the plot twists. He was looking forward to talking about the foreshadowing with his good friend and fellow Star Wars re-enactor, Jeff.
Some of Chris's favorite things were, vacations at Walt Disney World, Halloween, summer luaus for his birthday, sandwiches and thunderstorms. Chris was a member of Mensa and used his quick wit to intellectually spar with others over a multitude of topics.
Chris is survived by his children, Christopher Anthony and Mara Jade; his parents Stephen and Devone, sister Julianna, brother David and cat Anakin. Chris will also be missed by his multitude of friends, including his harem; (Helen, Anne, Michelle, AnneMarie, Patty, Nina, Alana) and extended family, including his hetero life partner Pete.
