

Donna Jean Belfiore, beloved mother, and grandmother, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on September 21, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, Donna was the cherished daughter of Jeanette and Joyce Belfiore.
Donna earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University and went on to teach at St. Mary’s. After becoming a mother, Donna chose to devote herself fully to raising her children as a stay-at-home mom.
Donna later combined her talents and entrepreneurial spirit to create her own business, “Donna’s Write On,” where she provided typing and paper preparation services to many who needed assistance. Her dedication and attention to detail made her work invaluable to students, professionals, and friends alike.
Donna remained actively involved in both St. Gregory and St. Mary Alumni Association throughout her life, maintaining lifelong friendships and supporting the communities she loved so dearly.
Donna was known for her vibrant spirit and her special fondness for the color green, especially forest green. She found great joy in quilting and lovingly handcrafted quilts for family members and friends, creating treasured keepsakes that will continue to provide comfort and memories for generations.
She also cherished traveling with her family, especially their many memorable trips to Walt Disney World, where laughter, togetherness, and joyful memories were always abundant.
Donna leaves behind her loving children, Matthew (Casey) Schwartz and Rosie (Lynn) Teribery, along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored deeply. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride and joy in each of them.
Donna will be remembered for her generosity, creativity, unwavering love for her family, and the countless lives she touched through her teaching, friendships, and acts of kindness. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial mass will be held at St.Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday May 30, 2026 at 10am with a luncheon to follow.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
