Uncle Eddie was a tall giant in my eyes especially when I was little. He would hold me up on his shoulders when we were at family gatherings I always felt loved by my uncle. I had the pleasure to reconnect with him with the fall of 2017 and my children got to meet him. He had a smile 😊 that let you know you were welcome and were family. Most recently for me he always made comments on my Facebook posts that meant the world to me.

In My Heart
I thought of you today.
But that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
I think of you in silence.
I often speak your name.
Now all I have are memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake.
With which I'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
I have you in my heart.

I came into your family
Not knowing what I'd find.
I was nervous and afraid.
You gently eased my mind.

You made me feel right at home
From the first day that we met.
You welcomed me with opened arms,
And that I won't forget.

You always have encouraged me
With kind words that you say.
I know I can depend on you
On any given day.

You're a great father-in-law.
You stand out above the rest.
I thank God for blessing me
With you - the very best.

A man who determined to know the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness, grace and unfathomable LOVE...He shared with all.
He loved his family and enjoyed them well as his cat, the squirrels and Bob Evans !
Talks at the dining room table, laughter and a few tears, enjoying all our stories we shared...comparing all we ate that we shouldn't have even thought about eating but, was ALL good.
A heart that wanted to take his time getting to know a special young man and his mom, all to their great delight and gratefulness,
The tilt of his head, eyes peering OVER his glasses, his great laugh, his great are loved, missed, and so appreciated
We are blessed then, now and most certainly, the day we share in His presence....Much love

A pillar of the family A portion of my life Literally, a part of me

Not just a step-father My Father My Dad

It seems You have always been will always be.

Oh I remember, how we used to fight endlessly

As if we were destined to be enemies

Yet through the years, with you I share

Some of life’s best memories

We may have fought and argued like cats and dogs but

Nothing in the whole world, nothing at all

Can change the bond I have with you

Going through life’s manic phases

In words, I just cannot be described

To see me through all the tough times

A Father like you, is what fate prescribed
Love you dad
