I remember Eugene loved to help out a lot by cleaning around the center where I worked. He also enjoyed going to the swimming pool and walking around in the water. He also loved going to the dollar store. He always had a lot of energy and was always engaging. He had a good sense of humor too. I have many fond memories and will cherish them. So sorry he had to leave us this soon.


Eugene has been a part of my life for 22 years. I met him when I started as a Case Manager at Adult Well Being Services on Hubbell in 1996.  Eugene was not shy is providing me with directions and letting me know what was expected of me from him. He would clean my trash and wait for payment with either a dollar or a pop. Eugene loved having money but not spending it.  He was a saver. He liked his wallet and it was always filled with stuff, money, paper, or pictures it was special for him as he was special to  us. I feel truly Blessed that God chose to bring us back together at Romulus where he once again was part of my work days.  We chatted every now and again about the old days at Hubbell and the staff, things they would do and places we would go. Eugene and I have traveled a lot together over the years and I am Thankful he was in my life. 
I will miss my friend dearly :(  but will take comfort in his smile and our wonderful memories.  
My prayers and thoughts are with everyone who knew him especially his family even with all his fussing Eugene was a JOY and so kind at heart always wanting to help.
