Helen M. Zech

Helen M. Zech was born on December 6, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to the late James and Jenny Pashiales. As was common at the time, her birth was not recorded officially until weeks later, December 22, 1922. Even with the discrepancy on the official documents, her family never forgot the actual day she was born and always celebrated her birthday on December 6.

Helen passed away with her family by her side on June 18, 2014 in Plymouth, Michigan at the age of 91.

She was the loving wife of the late William "Bill" Zech, who preceded her in death in 1988. The cherished mother of John (Chris) Zech, Mark (Dorothy) Zech and Mary (Rick) Peña. Proud grandmother of Bill Zech, Jim (Liz), Zech, Jared Zech, Jillian (Dan) Mudd, Jenna Peña, Rick Peña and Adam Peña and great-grandmother of Kaitlyn Zech, Abigail Zech, Isaiah Peña, Taylor Gilmore and Jireh Alvarado. In addition to her husband and parents Helen is preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Superson and Mary Pashiales.

Helen's family will receive friends on Monday June 23, 2014 from 3-8 pm with Eulogies, 7 pm, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Ave. (east of Wayne Rd.) in Wayne.

Her life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 10:30 am with in state 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 34530 Michigan Ave. in Wayne.

She will be laid to rest next to Bill at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
