Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald, son Paul, and parents Blase and Anna Pattock.
Joan is survived by her loving children; Gerard (Terry) Dugas, Gerylann (Blair) Arden, Christopher Dugas, and Rose (Kenneth) Ortiz, and grandchildren Marc, Alessandra, Samantha, Kenny, Benjamin, and Bentley.
Joan was born May 4, 1935 in Scottdale, Pennsylvania. She lived in Garden City, Michigan, the oldest sibling to her brother Dennis and sisters Ester and Kathleen.
Joan attended St. Mary High School. After graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald in 1953. Joan and Ron were able to celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary together before he passed. Joan credited their long marriage to their shared faith and love of family.
Joan’s life revolved around her family, faith, friends and her garden. Joan, along with her husband Ron, were very active members of their St. Theodor Church community and she enjoyed being a regular part of the church choir where she met many of her friends.
Joan is most remembered for her warm smile, friendly demeanor and caring personality. She was everything a mother and a friend should be and brought joy and comfort to those who knew her. Her green thumb and love of her flower garden was a beautiful backdrop for the many events she hosted. Joan was often the first to welcome a new neighbor to her events.
Joan will forever have a special place in our hearts. May she rest in peace in God’s loving hands.
