Joseph Gwizdak Jr. passed away October 30, 2017 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Maureen for 61 years. Loving father of John (Ann Marie) Gwizdak, Felicia (John) Courtright, Christopher (Teresa) Gwizdak, the late Helen Ezerkis, and the late Michael Gwizdak. Proud grandfather of Erin, Patrick (Ann), Bryan (Fiona), Patricia, Adam, Jonathan, Jennifer (William), and Matthew (Mariana). Dear great-grandfather of 10. Cherished brother of John (Beatrice) Gwizdak, Genevieve Hembree, Blanche (Theodore) Morris, Theresa West, and Chester Gwizdak.
Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years. He was a Service Officer and American Legion Member in Post 251 in Westland.
Visitation Thursday, November 2 from 3-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 34567 Michigan Ave. in Wayne. Funeral Mass Friday, November 3 at 11am (in state at 10:30am) at St. Mary Catholic Church 34530 Michigan Ave. in Wayne. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
