I have so many wonderful memories of Aunnie, it's hard to just pick one. My life will forever be changed now that I don't have my other mother here on earth to call and talk to.  Everyone should have a Aunt like mine in their life. My mom is heart broken over losing her only sister.  But she says at the end we shall meet again my sweet angel.  When i was a little girl about 9.  My mom and Aunnie took me to Meijers and I wanted a pop.  Finally after begging  ( which I'm sure got on their nerves) I got one.  Well Aunnie decided to ask me for a drink.  I gave her one.  Next thing she says is "Marthie,we shouldn't of taken of drink of that, she now has the Korean Crud".  Don't ask me what that meant I had no idea.  I started freaking out telling my mom oh my I have Korean Crud,their laughing the whole time, and finally had to let me in on her joke.  But that's how she was.  Always playing jokes on us or making up stories on road trips. No one I know has a imagination like her.  No matter what we had or what we did she made a toy out of everything and anything.  She was the most unselfish person I've ever met.  She worried more about my mom who had a stroke last Oct. then she did about herself.  We'd walk into the rehab room and she would say go give her all the attention. Make sure she knows we all love her.  No one knows what this woman meant to me. I hope that I'm as loved as she is when my journey on this earth comes to an end. I know you are up there having a wonderful time with Uncle Ed and Daddy.  Till we meet again my sweet Aunnie.  I will forever hold you in my heart and love you to the moon and back!!  xoxox

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Lourine.

I have been trying to think of "a" story to write about Granny. So many come to mind it is hard to pick just one. I remember when Devin was only a few months old and she would ask him to tell her a story, and damned if he didn't. He would coo and babble away while she would nod and answer with an "oh really" or "you don't say". He would be so involved with telling her something, it truly amazed me. 
Then there was this one time that Granny, my mom (Linda Watts), and I were in Las Vegas. We were returning to our hotel from another casino. Granny had a good day at the slots, bringing back two pretty full buckets of quarters. I, in trying to be helpful, was carrying them for her (her loot was quite heavy). As we pulled up to our hotel and began disembarking from the van, Granny watched in horror as I (being the graceful swan that I am) stepped out of the van, missed the curb and fell flat on my face; scattering the coins, that were once so secure within my grasp, across the sidewalk. After it was determined that I had not been truly harmed (embarrassment being my only true injury) and the coins gathered, Granny laughed herself to tears. There was only a minuscule amount of space for my foot to go in order to miss the curb, and the total absurdity of the entire situation tickled her something awful. Even years later reminiscing about that adventure would bring her to belly jiggling guffaws. I have so many memories of her laughter and of her wisdom. I will cherish them for all of my days and share them with my son and his children, ensuring her immortality on earth.

To the entire family, we are sorry for your loss. I personally knew Lourine for many years.  Just two houses down....was on the same  bowling league with her in the 70"s.  Rick would have conversations with Ed before his passing.

Lourine will truly be missed. I will miss her smile and the way her face lit up when she talked about her family whom she cherished beyond comprehension. I have never met anyone as sweet, caring and full of bright, positive light as my neighbor. She always had a smile on her face I could see the happiness and joy she carried in her heart. She was blessed to have such an amazing family. God Bless.
