Mabel was the beloved wife of Alvie Griffin for 72 wonderful years. After marrying the love of her life in 1954, the young couple courageously embarked on a journey across the ocean from England to Michigan, where together they built a beautiful life centered on love, faith, and family.
Mabel was a devoted and loving mother to Mark (Anita) Griffin and Clifford (Denise) Griffin. She was a cherished grandmother to Danielle (Ryan) Grosos, Shaun (Cassandra) Griffin, Nick (Jess) Griffin, and Aaron Griffin, and a proud great-grandmother to Madelynn, Sadie, Isla, Archer, Mason, Jameson, and Laynee.
She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, John, Lynol, Freda, Betty, Joan, and Jim Bosley. As the youngest of seven children, Mabel carried the love and strength of her family with her throughout her life.
Mabel found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved lively family card games, caring for her home, and creating a warm and welcoming place for everyone who entered. Her family will fondly remember her spotless home, loving heart, and the happiness she found during visits to Florida and Alabama to spend treasured time with loved ones.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home.
Mabel will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In memory of Mabel, the family kindly suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
