Michael J. Willis "Mickey"

Michael Joseph Willis “Mickey” was born on May 20, 1946 in Highland Park, Michigan to Paul and Dorothy Willis. He was one of 7 children. Michael passed away peacefully under the gentle care of Treasure Coast Hospice on February 19, 2013 at the age of 66.

He was the beloved father of Mindi (Matthew) Willis-Lines and Jeffrey (Brenda) Willis. Loving Grandpa “Papa” of Logan Willis, Sierra Willis, Buddy Smith and the late Benjamin Lines. Dear brother of Harold Willis, Donnie Willis, Larry Willis, Patricia (Tim) Jackson, the late Edward Willis, and the late Johnny Willis. Brother-in-law of Patricia.

Mickey was a proud Vietnam War Veteran who served with the United States Marine Corps. He was also a member of Iron Workers Local #25 for more than 35 years until he retired. When he retired, he moved to Florida where he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Family will receive friends for a Visitation on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4-8pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home 34567 Michigan Avenue, Wayne, Michigan 48184.

The Funeral Service, led by Rev. Mark Raitz, will be at 11:30am on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mickey will be laid to rest with his family in the Chapel of Angels Mausoleum at Cadillac Memorial Cemetery in Westland, Michigan.

The United States Marine Core Funeral Honors Team will perform the flag presentation at the cemetery following the committal.
