Rebecca L. Ditto

February 20, 1982July 3, 2019

Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Ditto of Westland, MI passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2019 at the age of 37. Diagnosed with epilepsy at a young age, Becky had challenges throughout her life. She was committed to overcoming these obstacles and was always proud to share her accomplishments such as having a job, being in a relationship and even receiving her diploma. Becky had a unique sense of humor and an outgoing personality that was only recognized by those closest to her.

Becky treasured being a Mom to Hailey and relished the time they spent together. They often spent afternoons in the park with friends. There was nothing that gave her greater pride than her daughter.

Becky enjoyed reading books, cross-stitching, and playing games. She looked forward to annual family reunions. She was passionate about supporting the Relay for Life along side her family and friends. Becky was a member of the Spreading Oak Tabernacle Church in Inkster, MI.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the life of her daughter, Hailey Marie Ditto. Becky is preceded in death by her father, Randy d. 2019 (Diane) Ditto and is survived by her mother, Valerie (Gerald d. 2006) Allen, siblings, Elizabeth (Edward) Heath and Robert “Bobby” (Becka) Ditto, as well as many devoted aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We at the Spreading Oak Church mourn with the family at the loss of our dear Becky. Our prayers are continually with you all as we celebrate her life together and in the days and months to come.

Remember that the bibles says:

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I an your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

This is so very, very sad... I first met Becky when she came into CLS about 15 years ago... She was a fine, decent person, and I always enjoyed working with her, attending conferences, and listen to her talk about her hopes and dreams... My deepest sympathy goes out to all those who were fortunate to know her...

Oh, how feeble is man's power
That, if good fortune fall...
Cannot add another hour,
Nor a lost hour recall...

The amount of memories I share with you are numerous. There were years in which we practically lived with each other. I once, thought we lost you on my front porch, but your hard head and surgical staples kept you with us. That night scared me more than you. That would have been shortly before the wonderful Hailey came into our lives. The photo I share here was shortly before that. What an honor it was to know someone as strong and as loving as you. I say was but I know it is and I look forward to seeing you again. Next time we see each other there will be no falling off porches. Next time will be too full of joy to witness any pain.
