Beloved husband of Casey for 10 years. Loving father of Taylor, Jordan and Scott. Dear son-in-law of Phillip and Stephanie Osmundson. Brother-in-law of Carey Osmundson. Preceded in death by his mother, Carol Barnhart. Survived by his father and sister Karen Barnhart.
Rob was employed by Ford Motor Company (AAI) for almost 22 years. He was well known by his co-workers as “Porkchop” and had his own little corner store in the factory called “Porkchop’s Party Store” where he sold chips, soda and candy.
Rob loved to ride his motorcycle and was a past member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association. He loved to bowl and was on many leagues throughout the years. He was the vice president of his current league “Saturday Night Pin Busters” at Taylor Lanes. He was so well known in the bowling community, he couldn't walk into a bowling alley anywhere in the state without running into someone who knew him.
Rob was an avid hockey fan, monster trucks and pro-wrestling fan. He passed these loves on to his son Scott. He had recently introduced Scott to playing hockey and went so far as to buy new ice skates and join his son on the ice.
Rob was probably best known for being “the guy to call” when you needed anything. He was a great woodworker and was always fixing things for friends and family. He would do anything for anyone on a moments notice. Simply the “all-around good guy” to everyone.
One of the greatest attributes of Rob was his love for his wife and children. He was a very devoted husband and proud father, displaying many photos of his wife and children in his work locker. He would go to the ends of the earth for his family. He will be deeply missed by them and all who knew him.
