Rose Alessi

Rose was the loving wife of the late Frank J. Alessi. Dear mother of Cecelia Geer (Gerald) and Frank (Bertha) Alessi. Beloved grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 9.

Rose Alessi was born in Patton, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1920. She was the second youngest of 12 siblings.

Her parents were Anthony and Antoinette (née LaPenna) Gelormino. Rose passed away on October 13, 2013 in Westland, Michigan.

Rose's late husband Frank J. Alessi was born in Barnsboro, Pennsylvania. They moved to Michigan in the late part of the 1940's residing on Howe Road in Wayne where they raised their two children Cecelia and Frank.

What the family "loved best" was being with Rose who was very hospitable to all her family and friends. Their next greatest love was her spaghetti and meatballs which was delicious! On Sundays after church the family gathered together for roast beef diner and everyone had a hand in the preparation!

Rose's favorite pastime was watching the Tigers play ball; even going to Lakeland, Florida with her friends for Spring Training. They cheered so much they came home with sore throats but joyous!

Rose lived a long good life until age took over. She was blessed with 86 good years - the last 7 years were very rough for her. Now she is resting in gentle peace. She was 93 years and 9 months old when she passed.

The Family of Rose Alessi is very thankful for the support shown by all their family and friends.

Rose will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

The Alessi Family will receive visitors at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Avenue in Wayne on Tuesday, October 15 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 16 at 11:00am.
