Sheri lived a successful, fulfilling life forming lifelong relationships along the way. She was born in Harrison Township, Michigan at Selfridge Air National Guard Base on December 15, 1961 and spent her formative years in Clinton Township, where she excelled as a leader in academics, sports and other extra-curricular activities both in the community and at Clintondale High School. She went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University then a Master of Science degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.

She met Russell ( Russ ) Wilkins in 1995 in Canton Michigan where they quickly became a strong unified couple and married in July 1996. Sheri became a leader in her community through her successful real estate business and many volunteer projects. Sheri had a love and devotion to animals which was evident through her actions. She and Russ fostered dogs for many years and she was a significant contributor to fundraising endeavors for the Michigan Humane Society. She also carried this same passion to her fundraising efforts which benefited cancer research.

Sheri loved experiencing and exploring nature. The great lakes, Emerald Isle, NC, Sarasota, FL, Hawaii and the mountains in Colorado were among some of her favorite places to spend time with those she loved. Sunrises and sunsets were among her favorite sights. She spent many hours hiking trails, exploring beaches and mountains, soaking in these gifts of nature with family and friends. Recently, she achieved a personal goal and climbed 14,000 feet to the top of Mount Evans in Idaho Springs Colorado, while continuing her fight with cancer. Her spirit of adventure remained bright, beautiful and strong. She cherished every day she was alive and shared her radiant spirit with those around her.
