What a privilege it is to have known you for all these years. You were the best neighbor, a confidant, a mentor, and most importantly a true and everlasting friend. I can never thank you enough for everything you've done for me and been to me in this life. You will be missed and thought of fondly as the days go by until we meet again. I can already hear you saying with a little chuckle, "What took you so long?" I love you.

Thinking of your family in this time of need.  Prayers and thoughts go to the Pratt family.  Grandma Shirley will forever be in our hearts.

I am so sorry for your loss. May your special holiday memories help ease your grief this Christmas.

Since hearing of Shirley's passing I have reflected on all of the good times we spent together. Shirley was my very good friend and I will miss her very much.  My prayers are with all of you - her siblings and children.  Shirley was easy to be quiet with.  Fun to travel with and I was one of the many people that loved her. Until we meet again, Shirley, you will always be my friend.

Will miss you greatly mom.  I will remember our many trips to horseshows when I was a kid.  Getting there, but sometimes having a really hard time getting back.  Going to Asheville after we moved to Flag Pond and never being able to get home on the first try, but eventually getting home.  Staining a three story log house, painting and some more painting.  We had so many laughs over really stupid and inane things, but we would laugh hysterically until we were in danger of being thrown out of somewhere or locked up.  We spent many days working in the quilt shop and then many suppers fixed by Bob hashing out the day and driving him crazy.  We did it so well.  We will take our last ride on Mr. Twain next summer.  Love you, you were the best.

Since 1980, Shirley had always been my 'other' mom. Our group always hung out at her house on Glen Oaks in Arlington, TX....I never realized until a little later in life how she must have struggled. But i'll always remember how she never turned anyone away. As far as she was concerned, they were a part of her flock.
