Susanne Brown Fairbanks

Susanne Fairbanks from Livonia MI, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on September 25,1938 and was known for her feisty spirit and dedication to her children and grandchildren.

Susanne pursued a career at Telcom Credit Union, where she worked for over 30 years. She always led her team to success and built lifelong friendships that she cherished greatly.

She spent her retirement years in sunny Florida with her fur-baby and trusted companion Sammy. She left her mark on Gull Aire Village, working her way up to park President. She spearheaded several improvements within the development including remodeling the club house, upgrading the shuffleboard courts, beautifying the grounds while on the garden club and played a big role in planning activities while on the board of the social club. She always found joy in making new connections and improving the lives around her.

Later in life, Susanne, known to her grandchildren as “Zsa Zsa”, returned to Michigan spending her golden years surrounded by her most prized accomplishment of all, her Family. Susanne had 7 children, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her love and dedication will forever be apparent in the strong, loving and compassionate family she created. Susanne instilled a hard work ethic in her children with her quick wit and tough love. She will be greatly missed and always remembered and cherished in our hearts.

Susanne is preceded in death by her son, Robert Dean Fairbanks, and brother Bruce Brown.

She will be lovingly missed by her children; Jeffrey (Suzanne) Fairbanks, Lori (Kevin) VanBuskirk, Scott (Kimberly) Fairbanks, Kenneth Fairbanks, Christopher Fairbanks, Matthew (fiancé Angel Rawlings- Lechleitner) Fairbanks.

Grandchildren; Meghan (Antoine) Murray , Bradley (Courtney) Fairbanks , Anthony (Crystal) Fairbanks , Christopher (Vashti) VanBuskirk ), Kevin (Charlotte) VanBuskirk, Nicholas VanBuskirk, Christina Fairbanks, Jacob Fairbanks, Brenna Fairbanks, Joel Fairbanks,

Great-grandchildren; Brooklyn and Brody Fairbanks, Leah and Emma Fairbanks, and Aria Murray.

A celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 29th from 1:00 to 4:00pm at Tin Cup restaurant, located at Whispering Willows Golf Course in Livonia. 20500 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI 48152. There will be a prayer reading at 2:00 pm.
