William Harold Webb

William Harold Webb, lovingly known as “Bill,” passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, in Wayne, Michigan, at the age of 82. He was born on November 10, 1943, in Canandaigua, New York, to Harold and Jean Webb.

Bill was the beloved husband of Diana Webb, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story began on a Friday night at a bowling alley, where Bill asked Diana if she would go get pizza with him. That simple invitation began a beautiful life together, and the rest, as they say, was history. Bill was a devoted and loving father to Chris (Theresa) Webb, Heather Firkowski, and Meredith (Dave) Sillick. He was a cherished grandfather to Curtis (Robyn) Webb, Corey (Nikki) Webb, Brianna Firkowski, Tyler Sillick, Ben Sillick, and Claire Sillick, and a proud great-grandfather to Logan, Riley, and Adalynn Webb. He is also survived by his twin brother, David Webb; his sister Nancy (Dan) Buckley; brother-in-law Gary Burdick; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Burdick.

Bill was a graduate of Bloomfield Central High School in New York and earned his associate degree from SUNY Cobleskill. He began his working life with a small hometown dairy company and later worked for Nalge, Rochester, NY, where he was a machine operator until his retirement in 2006. Those who knew Bill will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He was a true jokester who enjoyed playing cards and, most of all, spending time with the people he loved. Bill and Diana especially treasured their summers camping trips with family. For 30 years, they returned to the same special campsite, creating friendships and countless memories that will forever remain a part of their family's story. Family was at the heart of Bill’s life. He loved being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and the memories he created with those he loved will be treasured for generations to come. His laughter, kindness, humor, and unmistakable presence will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Though Bill is no longer with us, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date in New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill’s honor to the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s, the American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association. Bill will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
