He was born May 12, 1939, a son of the late James Otis, Sr., and Minnie Mae (Mayo) Truslow.
He retired from the Afton Holiday Inn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Faye (Matheny) Truslow, two sons, Donald Truslow, Ronald Truslow; step-daughter, Doris Welch; brother, James Otis Truslow, Jr. and a brother-in-law, John Dunnivan.
Following cremation the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
There will be no services.
