Anthony David Buskey

He was born April 12, 1959, in Bethlehem, Pa., a son of Hercules and Mozell Backmon Buskey.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Sign Language Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness, where he served as Elder.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Buskey; and two sisters, Diane Buskey and Dorothy Buskey.

Survivors, in addition to his mother of Orangeburg, S.C., include his wife, Ellen Buskey of Waynesboro; three brothers, Robert Lee Buskey of Fayetteville, N.C., Henry Buskey of Strasburg, Pa., Hercules Buskey Jr. of Elloree, S.C.; three sisters, Vertell Jones of Orangeburg, S.C., Maurleen Foster of Columbus, Ohio, and Elaine Buskey of Boston, Mass.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at the Holiday Inn, 1901 Emmett St., Charlottesville, Va.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of the service.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Lincoln Cemetery, Shreveport, La.
