He was born November 11, 1956 in Mt. Holly, NJ, later moving to West Virginia before permanently residing in Waynesboro where he built his beautiful home with his wife Donna, his four children- Jessie, Michelle, Tracie and Marcus, and his loyal companion Hank.
He dedicated 29 years of service to Mathers Construction Team where he was a man of many trades, impacting many lives and building lifelong friendships.
Barry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake on his pontoon. His incredible Faith in God inspired us all- The Lord is my total supplier of everything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gail and Allie Cook.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Cook; children, Jessica Farish and husband, Michael, Michelle Nesaw and husband, Jon, Tracie Horne and husband, Todd, and Marcus Hevener and wife, Alisha; grandchildren, Cole Horne, Emma Horne, and Parker Hevener; siblings, Belinda Workman, Frank Cook and Mark Cook.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at White Hill Church of the Brethren, Stuarts Draft, with Pastor Dave Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
