Betty Sue (Castle) Christian

Born July 7, 1934 in Lewisburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Goldie Mae (Price) Castle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Baptist Christian; sister, Faye Ann Crance.

Betty was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was employed by the former Waynesboro Hospital where she worked as an LPN for a number of years and also as the secretary for her husband’s business, Christian Plumbing and Heating. She was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge. Betty enjoyed collecting antiques and was the former owner of Betty Sue’s Antiques. When time permitted she enjoyed collecting dolls and had 150 total, cooking and baking.

Survivors include her children, Edward Dale Harouff of Greenville and Thomas Grey Harouff and wife, Jeanne of Waynesboro; brother, John Ray Castle of Fairlea, WV; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; special friends, Willadean Lushbaugh, Gay Rankin and Flossie Bailey; goddaughter, Teressa Corbit; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2825 Jefferson Lane, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
