

Wayne was born in Elkton, VA to Pauline E. Hensley and Elmer P. Hensley on November 1st, 1932. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving honorably from 1952 to 1956. In 1970, he built Wayne Cycle Shop, which he ran, with the help of his family and wonderful employees, for the next 44 years. Wayne loved his family and his community. He donated equipment to Staunton and Waynesboro City Parks and served the Augusta County community for decades. In his spare time, Wayne loved to ride motorcycles and travel with his wife. He especially enjoyed visiting Florida during Daytona Bike Week.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Nina Hensley; as well as a brother, Garland Hensley; and two sisters, Bonnie Brill and Jacqueline Robbins.
Wayne is survived by his son, Greg Hensley and wife Cheryl of Waynesboro; his grandson, Maxwell Hensley and wife Shui He of Williamsburg; great grandchildren, Cooper and Adaline; as well as numerous nieces, including special niece, Paula Puckett.
Per Wayne’s wishes, no public services or visitation will be held.
