Brenda Joyce (Johnson) Eagan

Brenda Joyce Eagan, 73, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Augusta Health.

She was born July 29, 1943, a daughter of the late James E. and Gladys Catherine (Clemmons) Johnson.

She retired from Wayne-Tex with over thirty years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James R. “Jimmy” Johnson and an aunt, Evelyn A. Finestone.

Survivors include her daughter, Catherine and wife, Petra Rochelle of Waynesboro; sister, Dale Y. Johnson of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Woodson and Christopher Brent Cooper; great grandchildren, Rory E. Cooper, Roan R. Cooper, Ryan N. Cooper, Christopher B. Cooper, Jr., Clover R. Berkhead, Ragin S. Showers and Elysium F. Knott; sister-in-law, Brenda K. Johnson; nieces, Lisa K. Smith and Carolyn Winston; nephew, Charles E. Johnson; Brenda’s K-9 companion, Lena May, as well as a number of family members and friends.

Following cremation, a private burial will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and other times at Catherine’s residence, 13 Buckboard Rd., Waynesboro.
