He was born November 7, 1962, a son of the late Lynwood L. Sr., and Catherine (Harlow) Lowry.
Burnie was a former employee of Western State Hospital and more recently of Froehing and Robertson Grounds and Soil Testing Company. He will be remembered for his storytelling, jokes and the ability to light up a room.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lynwood L. Lowry, Jr., and a brother-in-law, Jerald “Jerry” Fretwell.
Survivors include his two daughters, Caitlyn Lowry and Hannah Lowry; a sister, Mary Jane Fretwell; grandchildren, Elarah Smith, Charley Smith and Freya Jane Smith.
Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Waynesboro Elks Lodge Pavilion, 1700 Harvard Rd., Waynesboro,Va. Casual dress is requested.
