Obituary of Catherine L. “Rennie”  Keith
Catherine Lorine “Rennie” (Gregory) Keith, 81, of Waynesboro passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Shenandoah Hospice House. She was born in Waynesboro on April 17, 1939, a daughter of the late James Edward and Martha (Sensabaugh) Gregory. Catherine was a graduate of Waynesboro High School. She worked as a manager in the jewelry department at Roses. Catherine was a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren and T.O.P.S. VA Chapter 0205, Fishersville. She was an accomplished cake baker, who did cakes for many weddings and other celebrations and she was also a wonderful cook. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Julian Russel Keith, Jr.; daughter, Rena Rines; brother, James H. “Jim” Gregory and wife, Sue; nephew, Scott Gregory and wife, Patty; “sister”, Linda Gregory Thompson; grandchildren, Mandy Johnson and husband, Kevin and James Douglas “J.D.” Rines, Jr. and wife, Brie; great grandchildren, Hunter, Ayden, and Brantley Johnson; as well as extended family and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Augusta Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to please meet at the cemetery, wear a facial mask, and practice social distancing. There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home, however, the family will receive friends at their home. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Augusta Health ICU and the Shenandoah House for their loving care of Catherine and her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
