
He was born June 2, 1937 in Craigsville, Virginia to Albert “Cub” and Julia “Lib” Clements.
He retired from the United States Navy in 1974 with 20 years of service. After his retirement he was employed by Fiberspun in Staunton and Home IV Care in Fishersville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Sally Clements.
Survivors include his wife Frances of five years, her three children and five grandchildren, his daughter, Darlene and husband Terry of Port Hueneme, California, their three children and four grandchildren, son, William and his wife Merlene Clements of Cedar Creek, Texas, their seven children and two grandchildren, son Charlie and his wife Wendy Clements of Jacksonville, NC and their two children.
Following cremation a memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Dr. Jan Owen and Rev. Gwen Carr officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the residence of 95 Ashleigh Drive, Waynesboro.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 North Coalter Street Staunton, Va. 24401.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
