Born November 21, 1918 in Sherando, he was the son of the late Austin and Lulubella (Carter) Dedrick.
Mr. Dedrick worked as a truck mechanic with Wilson Trucking. He enjoyed hunting and working on lawn mowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Dedrick.
Survivors include his son, Charles Woodrow “Woody” Dedrick, Jr.; step-children, Barbara Sipe and Dennis Landram.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Augusta Memorial Park with the Rev. Clayton Payne officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #340.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
