He was born December 17, 1941, a son of the late James William and Gertie (Dean) Jarvis.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Groah) Jarvis; sons, Charles Jarvis, Jr., James Jarvis, Donnie Jarvis; two daughters, Donna McLear, Sandra Denny, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
All services will be private. There will be no visitation or public viewing at the funeral home.
The Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes has been entrusted with arrangements.
