

Chelsie was born in Kentucky to Florence Cox and Andy Cox on August 1st, 1935. Chelsie worked for the American Greeting Card Company before marriage. After getting married, she stayed home to raise her family, and in addition to being a wife and mother, enjoyed gardening, cooking (making the world’s best brownies), and canning. Her treatment for any injury of her children or grandchildren was the application of home-grown aloe vera. Chelsie was very active in her church community after moving to Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Chelsie was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy G. Hensley and Roger Jones; a brother, Raymond Cox; and sisters, Della Mae Spicer, Elvie McIntyre, Delena Logan, and Rada Duncan.
Chelsie is survived by her son, Mike Hensley of North Carolina; grandchildren, Timothy J. Hensley (Paige) of Mint Springs, Tristan Hensley of Stuarts Draft, and Casey Caggiano of North Carolina. She is also survived by her great granddaughter, Alexis; several nieces and nephews; and her cat that needs no care, Samantha.
Per Chelsie’s wishes, there will be no public services.
