

She was born in Nelson County, a daughter of the late Raymond and Nannie Mabel (Fitzgerald) Campbell.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by the former Genesco Coat Factory for over 30 years, and later continued her career at Shenandoah Nursing Home, serving in the food service department for 10 years. In addition, she also worked as an Avon representative. Christine was a skilled cosmetologist for many years, bringing confidence and joy to those she served. Outside of her work, Christine found happiness in the simple things. She loved spending time with her family, tending to her flower beds, and sewing. Christine was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, and all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Meeks; daughter, Sandra Madison; grandson, Allen Moats; brothers, Jerry Campbell and Kenneth “Bubby” Campbell; two sisters, Linda Liptrap and Janet Kelley; a sister-in-law, Prenny Campbell; and nephew, Kenneth “Boonie” Campbell.
Survivors include her brothers-in-law, Mark Kelley and Merit Liptrap; nieces and nephews, Crystal (Derek), Sarah (Chris), Rita (Spencer), Lisa (Buck), John (Maggie), Keith, Sissy, Paul and Rusty; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Bob and Robin.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro.
Active pallbearers will be her family members.
