Born May 25, 1914 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Abraham H. and Ressie M. (Fitzgerald) Berry. Clara was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Meadows; two brothers; two sisters.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., with Rev. Clayton Payne officiating. Burial will be private.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
