Clifford Glenn Bishop, 60, of Waynesboro passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, at the Shenandoah Hospice House. He was born in Augusta County on November 2, 1958, a son of the late Hobert Bishop and Gladys Lorraine (Himes) Sanford.
Clifford was a graduate of Wilson High School. He worked for Moore Brothers for 25 years in Verona and Neuman Aluminum Impact Extrusion for 10 years in Verona. Clifford greatly enjoyed watching NASCAR and wrestling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Ann Hite; step-father, Robert "Red" Sanford and step-brother, Robert L. Sanford.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Robert Bishop; step-siblings, Donald Ray Sanford and Brenda (Sanford) Diehl; numerous nieces and nephews; a special “niece”, Hannah Rexrode; special friends, Amanda and Arthur “Buck” Cook, Gene Kirby, and Jim and Patsy Blackwell; as well as, additional friends and extended family members.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Augusta Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
