Dale Rodney Propst

Born April 18, 1954 in Staunton, he was the son of the late Albert Ervin and Mary (Leach) Propst.

Prior to retirement, Dale was employed by Holtzman Oil Corp. where he worked for over 20 faithful years. As an avid outdoorsman, he greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be missed and loved by who all knew him.

Survivors include his three daughters, Angela Berry and husband, Bob of Stuarts Draft, Dorothy “Dottie” Smith and husband, Clark of England, and Daphne Davidson and husband, Chase of Millboro, VA; grandchildren, Hannah Berry, Emma Berry, Elliot Smith, Sage Smith, Anna Davidson, Maddie Davidson and Sadie Davidson; brother, Dennis Propst and wife, Maureen McDonough of East Lansing, MI; sister, Dona Bussard and husband, Gene of Weyers Cave, VA; significant other, Blanch Smith of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. Due to COVID-19 all who plan to attend will be required to wear facemasks and practice social distancing.
